A Morgan County sheriff’s deputy was hospitalized Tuesday night after their ear was bitten and torn when they responded to a call of a suicidal person, authorities said.
The deputy assisted paramedics on the call when a struggle ensued and the suicidal person bit and tore the deputy’s ear, the sheriff’s office said.
The deputy was taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suicidal person was detained, authorities said.
