Watch Miami Police Officers Stop Knife-Wielding Man

Miami police subdued a knife-wielding man who tried to abduct a woman while being chased by officers Thursday.

The incident happened while officers were trying to apprehend two men, WPLG-TV reports. Police took one of the men into custody, but the second man, who had a knife, fled on foot, with officers pursuing.

During the chase, the man "grabbed a woman" on the sidewalk in an effort to abduct her, according to the department. The man then let the woman go and continued to flee officers.

Using an EMD weapon, the officers incapacitated the man, which was caught on camera by witnesses.

The woman was taken to the hospital with cuts to her face, and she is expected to recover.
