ONTARIO, California – Safariland®, a brand of The Safariland Group, celebrates Team Safariland members Rob Leatham and Scott Carnahan for their wins at the 2018 USPSA Nine Days of Nationals, October 20 – 28, at Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, Fla. Leatham placed 6th Overall in the SIG Sauer Optics Nationals Carry Optics Division ahead of 336 optics (all combined) competitors, with a winning score of 1887.38, while Carnahan finished 2nd Overall in the Pistol Caliber Carbine Division with a score of 1451.03.
Additionally, Leatham placed 3rd Overall in The CZ-USA Factory Gun Nationals Single Stack Division ahead of 364 factory gun (all combined) competitors, with a winning score of 1913.41. Leatham is the most-winning Single Stack (SS) National Champion on record, winning the USPSA SS Title in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2013, as well as the USPSA SS National Senior Title in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
“Rob is a stellar Safariland competitor and teammate, it was great to get back out competing with our friends,” said Carnahan, vice president, duty gear at Safariland. “The new PCC category is extremely fun and fast to shoot. I’m glad I could rely on my Safariland gear to have the confidence that the magazines would be there when I needed.”
Leatham competed with the Safariland ELS system, Model 5198 Holster and USPSA Kit, while Carnahan competed with his Safariland Model 032 ELS Competition Belt system using Model 774 Magazine Pouches. Next up for Leatham is the USPSA Area-2 Match in Mesa, Ariz.
