Dec. 13--An acquaintance of a man slain on the West Side last night reportedly came back to the scene this morning and shot four men in retaliation, police said.

One of the four is in 'grave' condition, police said.

All of the latest victims were men. One was shot in the abdomen, two in the legs and information was not available on the fourth victim, said Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.

All four were in serious-to-critical condition, according to Chicago Fire Department officials.

Three were to taken to Mount Sinai, the fourth was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

Their ages were not immediately available and police said one of the victims was in "grave" condition this afternoon.

A lone gunman who is an acquaintance of 18-year-old Onay Lundy who died in last night's attack shot the four "in retaliation'' for his killing, police said.

The shooter in today's attack, which happened in the 4200 block of West Wilcox Street shortly after 11 a.m., is not in custody, according to police.

About 9:50 p.m. last night, Lundy was shot and killed and his 27-year-old companion seriously wounded in the 4200 block of West Jackson Boulevard, about two blocks away.
