About Shell Shock Technologies, LLC
Founded in Westport, Connecticut, in 2015, Shell Shock Technologies, LLC is an early stage technology and manufacturing company focused on developing innovative case technologies for the ammunition industry. Shell Shock is a component manufacturer suppling shell cases to the shooting sports market, as well as to U.S. and foreign ammunition manufacturers, law enforcement, military and other government agencies. Shell Shock does not load ammunition.
Technology Summary
Shell Shock’s NAS3 9mm cases weigh 50% less than brass cases, offer greater lubricity and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear-out or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. Our cases can also be easily collected from the range using a magnet. Shell Shock has 9mm cases available immediately and will be launching a 5.56 case in January 2017.
NAS3 cases have been tested successfully by customers to pressures over 70k psi. and are ideal for +P and +P+ loads. Cases eject cool to-the-touch and the head can be colored for branding purposes and easy load identification. Shell Shock’s cases not only out-perform brass cases, but are also cheaper than brass cases.
Law Enforcement Purchasing/ RFP Program
Shell Shock has a specific Law Enforcement purchasing program; Shell Shock will sell its cases to any ammunition company that responds to a Law Enforcement RFP at the absolute lowest price in the market, regardless of the volume of cases ordered (approx. 25% lower cost than brass cases). This price will be offered equally to every ammunition company responding to the RFP, creating a completely even playing field.

Range Buy-Back Program
Shell Shock has an agreement with Anderson Arms (through their subsidiary, Oak Island Ammunition) to provide a ‘buy-back’ program for spent NAS3 shell cases. The purpose of the program is to offer any range a convenient opportunity to sell spent NAS3 shell cases collected at their facility. Anderson will match the price per pound ranges currently receive for used brass cases. Anderson is fully equipped to reload NAS3 cases as part of a remanufactured target ammunition program.
Performance
NAS3 is “Best in Class” for maintaining consistent velocity between rounds. In an independent test performed by H.P. White Laboratory (a major munitions testing facility), rounds fired using NAS3 cases achieved a velocity standard deviation of 0.93 FPS (124 grain FMJ bullet, 4.2 grains Titegroup powder, 10 hand-loaded rounds, extreme variation 3fps).
Reviews
Shell Shock’s cases have been extremely well received by both the market and industry media. Reviews of Shell Shock’s cases have been published in a variety of industry publications including the NRA’s ‘America’s 1st Freedom’ (this review can be found under the title “These aren’t your daddy’s cartridges”) and Small Arms Review (featured on the cover of the October 2016 issue, V20N8).
