A California police officer and his young, pint-sized partner entertained the crowd during Tuesday's National Night Out with their dueling dance skills.

The impromptu dance-off happened at the San Pablo Police Department's National Night Out event. Officer Cameron Banayat took the stage with a young boy to show off their moves to Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)," KRON-TV reports.

Banayat works as a school resource officer, and he's part of the Juvenile Education Welfare Liason unit. Last year, he was praised for de-escalating a standoff with a teen suffering a mental health crisis who had barricaded himself inside a home with a knife.
