Meanwhile, troopers located the woman, age 60, lying in her bed as the fire burned nearby and used fire extinguishers to slow the spread before carrying her to safety. The 60-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
“This is a great example of teamwork,” MSP Lt. Ashley Miller said in a statement Thursday. “Their quick actions prevented a tragedy.”
Flint police also responded to the fire Sunday night.
