S.C. Police Officers Injured when SUV Crashes into Restaurant

The driver of an SUV was trying to pull into a parking space when he crashed through the front window of a Chinese restaurant where two Mullins police officers were eating.

Two South Carolina police officers were injured when an SUV crashed through a restaurant window while they were eating Monday.

The incident happened shortly before 8 p.m. as two Mullins police officers were eating dinner at a Chinese restaurant, WRAL-TV reports. A driver in a 2018 Nissan Rogue was trying to pull into a parking space when the SUV jumped onto the sidewalk and smashed through the front of the restaurant.

The officers suffered minor injuries in the incident. It's unclear if the driver was injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
