NEW ORLEANS-Two officers were injured in the French Quarter, Friday evening. The shooter was said to be in a pedicab in an intersection when he shot at the officers. One NOPD officer was shot in the face, below the eye, and the other suffered lacerations on his arm. Though the officer that was shot is in serious condition he is stable.
Responding officers to the scene were able to apprehend the suspect without using lethal force. The suspect was then taken to the hospital to be checked out as well. The suspect refused to provide any information regarding his actions or the incident.
At this time no names of the parties involved have been released.
