Two Norton, Ohio police officers jumping into action to rescue a man trapped inside a burning car late Sunday night.
Officers Scott Seabolt and Brody Fratantonio arrived on the scene around 11:30 p.m. on Johnson Road to find 60-year-old Lowell Sears unconscious inside the vehicle that crashed into a ditch before bursting into flames, according to WEWS-TV.
Body camera video captured the officers pull the man from the fully engulfed car.
"We're gonna try to swing you out of the car, okay?" one of the officers can be heard saying. "Come on! Come on! Let's go!"
Officer Brody Fratantonio busted out a window, and the officers dragged Sears down the road to safety.
Just moments after they laid Sears down on the road, an explosion occurred.
"Thank God I got there and my partner was there and we were able to get him out and make sure he wasn't in that second explosion or any of us were," Seabolt told the news station.
Police believe Sears was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and firefighters gave him four doses of naloxone following the rescue.
On Tuesday, Sears said that he's very grateful for the officers risking their lives to save his own.
"They risked their own life. They do that every day and I'm glad they're there to do their job," he said.
