Bodycam Shows Moments Before Ga. Police Officer Critically Shot

Clayton County Police Officer Demika Lloyd continues to fight for her life after she was shot and wounded while responding to a call involving an apparently suicidal woman.
A Georgia police department released body camera footage that captured the moments before an officer was shot and critically wounded by a suspect last week.
The shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. July 27 as Clayton County Police Officer Demika Lloyd was responding to a call concerning a possibly suicidal woman experiencing a mental health crisis in Jonesboro. It was the third separate time police responded to the house that night.
In the recently released video, Lloyd can be heard trying to de-escalate the situation with the woman—Aiyanah Pryor, 25—while following her outside. An outdoor security camera then shows Lloyd advancing on Pryor, who is holding something in her hand.
Moments later, Pryor allegedly shot Lloyd before fleeing to Atlanta, where she was shot and seriously wounded by police.
Lloyd and Pryor are still hospitalized following the shootings.
