Watch Wis. Police, Firefighters Work to Save Boy in Trailer Fire
Wisconsin police officers worked with firefighters to save a 3-year-old boy trapped inside a burning house over the weekend.
The incident happened early Sunday when a home in West Allis caught fire, WITI-TV reports. West Allis police were the first to arrive at the scene, and they discovered that a boy was still inside.
Body camera footage captured the rescue attempt as an officer used a baton to shatter a window. A second officer spotted the child and tried to get inside but couldn't reach him.
Finally, firefighters reached the scene and cleared out the window. They then grabbed the boy and got him to police officers outside.
The child was rushed to the hospital, and he is in stable condition.
