An NYPD cop fired his gun at a Bronx carjacker who had just plowed into his partner, police said Monday.

The cops, riding together in a marked NYPD van, spotted a Mercedes-Benz that had been carjacked at gunpoint and pulled the driver over near Westchester and Elder Aves. about 10:15 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Video obtained by the Daily News shows the officer who was driving flicked on the emergency lights as his partner got out to approach the Mercedes. But suddenly the Mercedes driver swerved around the van and hit the office in the leg, the video shows.

The struck officer staggered to her feet, aided by her partner, with more cops arriving at the scene.

“She was hurt,” said Ceferino Ramirez, 40, who was nearby selling tacos from a truck when he heard the shots. “She said, ‘I hurt my leg.’”

Her partner at some point fired three shots, hitting the Mercedes, but nobody inside was struck.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he fired as the vehicle was heading toward his partner or afterward. NYPD policy warns against firing at moving vehicles but allows for it in extreme circumstances.

The officer hit by the vehicle was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and is expected to recover.

The driver sped off but crashed nearby. He and two passengers abandoned the vehicle and ran off. They have not been caught.
