Integrated Microwave Technologies, LLC (IMT) brought its PSRX6-D Portable Surveillance Receiver to ALEA 2012, the Airborne Law Enforcement Association’s 42nd Annual Conference and Exposition.

IMT’s PSRX6-D is a portable ruggedized, six-way COFDM (DVB-T compliant) diversity receiver/monitor. It offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with true ease of operation and superb decoding. The unit displays COFDM video transmissions using a built-in internal 10- or 12-inch ultra-bright, daylight-readable display, which features an easy-to-use, menu-driven interface. The PSRX6-D has optional AES decryption capabilities that make it ideal for applications ranging from public security monitoring to covert surveillance. Housed in a lightweight, self-contained case, the unit requires minimal setup to operate, making it ideal for use in any location or setting.

The PSRX6-D handles a wide array of video input and output formats, including composite, ASI and HD-SDI. It consists of four built-in block down converters, two with internal antennas and two for use with high-power external directional antennas. It also has two UHF input ports for optional external down converters, providing the user with true six-way diversity or dual-band capabilities. It runs off internal batteries, external +12-V DC or AC via an external power supply. All of these features provide an unequaled value in a high-quality COFDM receiver/monitor.

The receiver has ten programmable channel settings and an easy to use soft-key menu. It has an on-screen display of the input level, SNR, modulation and spectrum of the incoming signal. External high-power directional antennas give the user extended system range and versatility.

Due to its easy-to-view display, integral audio amplifier with speakers and front panel headphone jack with volume control, the PSRX6-D is a critical downlink control point in surveillance applications. Additionally, a standard Web GUI allows enhanced control and configuration of the six-way receiver via an external laptop.
