Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting on Sunday as the city's second murder of the year.

Fort Bliss officials confirmed today that three apparent victims in the shooting, all 21 years old, are soldiers at Fort Bliss. Their identities have yet to be publicly released.

The shooting was reported shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday outside of the Fusion Night Club, 4304 Dyer. Police said two of the victims were taking the third victim to the hospital but flagged down police at Dyer Street and Fred Wilson. Paramedics arrived at that location and took all three men to a nearby hospital where one died.

Police spokesman Officer Javier Sambrano said Sunday that the motive and events leading up to the shooting were still under investigation. Members of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigations Division are also looking into the shooting.

Fort Bliss spokesman Maj. Myles Caggins said today it is not known whether the shooter is also a soldier.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-8477. Callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if their tip leads to an arrest.
