Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) and Cellebrite Update Digital Forensics Repository to Serve Legal and Law Enforcement Professionals Nationwide

The Resource Library supports creating legal policy and procedures around lawful access to evidence from public and private cloud sources.

SANTA ANA PUEBLO, N.M., July 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) and working group partner Cellebrite, a leading provider of digital intelligence solutions, today announced at the CWAG 2018 Annual Meeting the public launch of a comprehensive repository of digital procedural documents and educational assets designed to enhance the investigative process for the legal community. Previously only available to CWAG members, the library and its digital intelligence resources are now accessible to a new, broader and thoroughly vetted community – legal and public sector professionals who can access the documents by providing information such as a verifiable government email address.

The Digital Forensics Repository provides professionals with key resources for adopting digital intelligence technology to improve evidence management, streamline investigations and build more informed narratives. The library has been fully updated to include valuable resources such as new and impactful best practices, suggested workflows, case studies, and sample warrants and court orders. This transparent and collaborative effort ensures interested parties can more easily navigate the processes to obtain and best utilize technology tools like Cellebrite's UFED Ultimate, Physical AnalyzerUFED Cloud Analyzer and Analytics Series.

The Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) is a bipartisan group which has expanded beyond our regional designation to count 38 states as participants. The chief legal officers of 15 western states and three Pacific territories are the founding and voting members of the association. These include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The Conference also includes the Pacific jurisdictions of American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam. Associate Members participate in legal seminars and working groups active in a variety of legal areas. CWAG's primary function is to provide a forum for chief legal officers of member states and jurisdictions to cultivate knowledge, cooperate on concerns and coordinate actions which improve the quality of legal services available to members. CWAG focuses on common areas of interest to the west: water, fish and wildlife, public lands, minerals, environmental protection and Indian Law.
