Interface Data Systems expands their capabilities by working in conjunction with Hemosense, a medical device manufacturer, to develop a test strip for its INRatio meter. The INRation meter is a diagnostic point-of-care system that provides Prothrombin Time (PT) and International Normalized Ratio (INR) results using fresh capillary whole blood. PT testing devices are the most common way to measure blood clotting levels. IDS has helped design and manufacture a sensor to assist in the testing of coagulant in a patient's blood, while ensuring complete functionality of the testing device. This sensor is a disposable test strip that is inserted into the PT device and enable users to monitor blood clotting time more effectively while automatically performing electronic self-tests.
