Designed to be elective in both military and law enforcement training environments and high--speed operations, the Tachyon embodies a balance between lightweight construction and lasting performance.
For spring 2014, Danner expands the line with a new black GORE--TEX® lined, polishable toe style to support Law Enforcement officers.
KEY TECHNICAL FEATURES – TACHYON GTX
Boot Components: A pair of the Tachyon GTX weighs a combined 35 ounces, yet despite its incredibly lightweight construction, its durability is maintained. A fully rubberized Danner® Tachyon outsole with pentagonal lugs warrants superior surface contact and wear life. Durable, polishable full-- grain leather and 500 Denier nylon upper material offers lightweight protection and 100% waterproof, breathable GORE-- TEX® lines the boot.
A speed lace fastening system and brass hardware ensure secure fit. The Tachyon is built with three layers of comfort: an open cell PU footbed generates airflow and an EVA midsole provides cushion underfoot while an integrated EVA Strobel board creates a more flexible platform.
