OMAHA, Neb. --

Omaha police have released the name of a man who was shot in the lobby of an Omaha hospital but not the name of the suspect who was quickly apprehended.

Creighton University Medical Center was placed on lockdown after the shooting, which was reported about 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officer Michael Pecha says the man who was shot is 30-year-old Otis Holford, of Omaha. He says Holford was in stable condition with injuries that didn't appear to be life-threatening. He declined to say where Holford was shot.

The suspect was quickly captured by a swarm of officers already inside the hospital to keep watch as a sheriff's deputy was treated for a gunshot wound in an unrelated case.

Pecha says Holford and the suspect knew each other, and it wasn't a random shooting.
