GREENSBORO, N.C. --

Two juveniles have been arrested and charged after police said they used a BB gun to shoot at an undercover police vehicle late Monday evening.

Police said the officers were conducting a surveillance operation at about 11 p.m. when several juveniles on bicycles rode by and fired the shots.

Only two juveniles from the group were caught, police said. They were charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, vandalism and resisting a law enforcement officer. Their names were not released because they are minors.

The shooting damaged three windows on the car, and one of the officers suffered a cut from the broken glass, police said. He didn't require medical treatment.

The BB gun was recovered and more charges in the case are pending, police said. Police didn't release the location where the incident happened.

Anyone with more information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
