Basic Crime Prevention

Participants are instructed in the areas of perimeter, exterior and interior security, including lighting, landscaping, windows, locks and alarms. Emphasis is placed on integrating the use of these components to achieve a safer home environment. Students participate in residential security surveys, learn how to organize neighborhood watch programs, and understand the importance of crime analysis and code enforcement in crime prevention.
