Residents favor a charter amendment that would radically change the Minneapolis Police Department, according to a new poll.
In the poll—done by the Star Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio, KARE-TV and Frontline—49% backed the controversial ballot measure that would transform the Minneapolis Police Department into the Department of Public Safety, WCCO-TV reports. The poll also found that 41% of respondents were against the proposed amendment, and 10% were undecided.
