Chicago Police Station Struck by Gunfire that Wounded Man

Investigators are searching for the individual who opened fire in the city's Austin neighborhood, sending a man to the hospital and damaging a police station.

A Chicago police station was struck by gunfire that also left one man wounded Wednesday.

The shooting happened at about 7 a.m. in the Austin neighborhood on the city's West Side, WGN-TV reports. Bullets hit both a Chicago Police Department station and an individual, but it's not clear what the target was.

The man was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. No details were released about the man's condition.

Investigators are checking security camera video and trying to find the person who fired the shots.
