An Ohio police department said goodbye to a horse that served its city for 11 years. Equine Officer Willie died earlier this month after having a tumor removed from his colon. He was a member of the Columbus Police Department's Mounted Unit. Dozens turned out at a memorial service for him, including the nine other horses in the unit. Willie's human partner of 10 years said he was a great friend and will be remembered as the horse who knew his way around the city.
