A dashboard camera released by the The Nevada Highway Patrol shows a driver slam into a cruiser's door as a trooper was conducting a traffic stop along a freeway ramp Monday.
The patrol car, which had its emergency lights activated, was stopped around 5 p.m. along the off-ramp at U.S. 95 North and Summerlin Parkway, according to a news release.
As the trooper opened the door to exit the vehicle, a passing car clipped the door and kept going.
Trooper located the female driver on Tuesday after receiving an anonymous tip.
The woman was issued citations on counts of driving without a valid license, hit and run with property damage and failure to stop and render aid.
No one was injured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
“The highway is the trooper's office space -- that's the environment they work in every day, and it's dangerous," the Nevada Highway Patrol said in a statement. "Motorists are reminded to move over and slow down for stopped emergency vehicles."
