PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. --
A suspect jumped on a police cruiser to make his escape after a chase in Port St. Lucie.
The police chase happened Friday morning in the 3200 block of Port St. Lucie Boulevard.
Police said an officer saw a gold Nissan traveling the wrong way into a shopping plaza. When the officer turned on his emergency lights, the car sped off.
Dashboard camera video shows the driver get out of the car as the cruiser pulls alongside the fleeing vehicle and jump onto the hood of the cruiser as he runs off.
Police said they caught up with the suspect, later identified as Bryant Williams Jr., 22, of Stuart, a short time later.
