October 4, 2016 -- Alameda, California, USA -- Clear-Com®, a global provider of real-time communication solutions, is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its MAG (Military, Aerospace and Government) Team. The Clear-Com MAG business offers and supports secure, mission-critical communication solutions for command and control, test and evaluation, and training and simulation applications in specialized operations across the globe. Today, Clear-Com appoints industry veterans, Chris Willis, as its Senior Sales Director of EMEA and APAC MAG and Brian McDermott as Senior Account Manager of USA MAG to round out its worldwide team. Mr. Willis and Mr. McDermott assume responsibility of their new positions effective immediately.

This appointment follows Clear-Com’s recent acquisition of UK-based Trilogy Communications (Trilogy®). Chris Willis has extensive experience providing solutions to the Defense sector as well as previously serving as Vice President Business Development for L-3 Communications ASA Ltd.  Based in the UK, Mr. Willis will primarily focus his time on expanding the Clear-Com MAG business across Europe, Middle East, Africa and throughout the Asia Pacific regions. He is currently a long-standing member of AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association). Mr. Willis reports directly to Mike Hughes, Senior Vice President & General Manager of MAG.

Brian McDermott, who previously managed all Trilogy MAG Customer Account activities in the USA, will continue this role for new Clear-Com MAG customers and existing Trilogy MAG customers. Prior to his employment with Trilogy, Brian worked for various government and aerospace prime contractors (including L3) and served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force for over 21 years.  He had served as an executive staff of the Aerospace Industries Association and is also a long-standing member of AFCEA. Mr. McDermott reports directly to Mr. Hughes as well.

“We thank Chris and Brian for their enormous contributions to the Trilogy business thus far,” said Mike Hughes. “Their solid understanding of our customers, products and the market will make the transitions to their new positions seamless and help us take the Clear-Com MAG business to the next level.”

With access to Trilogy solutions, Clear-Com will offer a much broader range of wired and wireless intercom solutions, including but not limited to Eclipse HX, FreeSpeak II, Gemini, and Messenger. Included in these offerings are the availability of the Mercury ES IP Voice Communications system protected by the highest levels of multi-level security and cross-domain features.
