PRYME and PositionPTT are strengthening their longstanding partnership to deliver integrated push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) communications solutions for businesses nationwide.

The collaboration combines PositionPTT's PoC radios, smartphone application and dispatch platform with PRYME's lineup of headsets, speaker microphones and PTT accessories, creating hands-free communications options for workers in a wide range of industries.

"The partnership pairs PositionPTT's PoC radios, smartphone application, and dispatch platform with PRYME's headsets, speaker mics, and PTT switches to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and enable employees to communicate hands-free without interrupting critical tasks," said Dave George, PRYME's president and chief technologist.

Launched in 2018, PositionPTT provides nationwide PoC communications services over T-Mobile and AT&T cellular networks. The platform connects field personnel, dispatchers and other team members through handheld and mobile radios, a smartphone app and desktop dispatch software.

The system includes GPS tracking, centralized dispatch tools and simplified deployment capabilities that offer organizations an alternative to traditional radio infrastructure while allowing users on different devices to communicate within the same network.

One nationwide airport services provider deployed more than 100 PRYME Trooper II speaker microphones alongside PositionPTT radios to support hands-free communications among ground personnel. In Chicago, a food distribution company paired PositionPTT radios with PRYME noise-canceling headsets to provide touch-free communications and hearing protection. A New York private security firm equipped employees with PositionPTT radios and PRYME acoustic tube earpieces to enable discreet communications in the field.

George said the partnership extends beyond product compatibility to helping customers identify the accessories and configurations best suited to their operational needs.
