Colorado Senator Cory Gardner last week presented Douglas County Sheriff’s Detective Dan Brite with the Congressional Badge of Bravery for his actions during a shooting that left him wounded on Sept. 2, 2016. He responded to a call of a suicidal man who fired at deputies when they were outside his home in Parker.
