Nashville, TN, Dec. 10th, 2020—Officer Media Group and Endeavor Business Media announce the winners of the first annual Law Enforcement Design Awards (LEDA) program, which recognizes outstanding architecture and design from law enforcement and public safety facilities nationwide.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were issued across five categories of facilities in this prestigious competition: LE Facilities 1, 2, and 3 (by size); Training Facilities and Public Safety Centers. All 28 participating entries will be published in the December issue of LET Magazine. View the awardees online here

“Technology never stops evolving and neither do the needs of law enforcement agencies as they grow to serve the ever-changing population,” Frank Borelli, who is the editorial director for Law Enforcement Technology Magazine, says. “The awards allow our readers to be aware of the latest trends and concepts that have been created by architects to serve the current and future needs of law enforcement.”

Janet Wilmoth, who is special projects director, Officer Media Group, notes the first LEDA had a great response and each entry offers insights on trends and new, innovative ideas for law enforcement facilities. “The LEDA judges had lively discussions on the entries, focusing on security and effectiveness,” Wilmoth said. “It was obvious from the floor plans and descriptions submitted, that each of these entries were designed by law enforcement professionals and architectural firms specialized in law enforcement. Each of the entries is a winner for its personnel and the community they serve.”
