Auburn Hills, MI (PRWEB) May 21, 2015 - LEID Products, LLC., the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced that it has completed a project to remove existing lockers and install itsAccess.it Asset Management System’s electronic access lockers at 161st Air Refueling Wing (ARW). The system stores flight crew’s airman safety bags that contain equipment such as helmet and oxygen gear – including equipment that must be recalibrated in between flights for safety reasons.
LEID’s Electronic Access Lockers with Access.it advanced tracking and reporting software replaced old manual lockers; eliminating time consuming manual logging and ensuring squadron "readiness" with real-time tracking reports to provide increased accountability that equipment has been calibrated and is ready to go. "The lockers are outstanding - they look fantastic and work perfectly! LEID’s team did a great job on the install, we are thrilled," commented Chief Master Sgt. Duncan Hannigan, 161st Operations Group Superintendent.
The 161st ARW is among a growing list of military bases replacing antiquated storage methods with new technology to enhance productivity. The new electronic lockers at 161st ARW are built into the wall where the aircrew can access a locker compartment through a LCD-keypad interface. The lockers are pass-through and open in the back into the adjoining tech room where all equipment is recalibrated.
Electronic reports detailing all locker access and documenting recalibration completion are available to administrators via a unique dedicated PC. The dedicated PC was installed by LEID Products at the request of the organization to keep the system separate for security purposes.
LEID Products specializes in intelligent storage technology. In addition to its Access.it System, the company offers a patented Biometric Access Control System (BACS™) which uses biometric and radio frequency identification (RFID) system for an increased level of security. LEID’s next generation technology is powering security, control, safety and accountability for storing critical assets.
LEID’s Access.it and BACS Systems have been implemented in government and private sector organizations where assets are of utmost concern– i.e. military facilities, crime and research labs, law enforcement agencies, and airports.
