NYPD's top cop helped a retired sergeant surprise an officer with a marriage proposal.
In a video posted to his Twitter feed, Commissioner Dermot Shea is seen giving a pair of cuff links to an officer identified as Shaundel in his office. But when she opened the box, she was shocked to find a diamond engagement ring inside, and she quickly turned around to see her boyfriend, identified as Henry, on a knee.
"When you think you’re going to the PC’s office to receive an award, but you leave with a diamond ring & calling your retired-sergeant-boyfriend — your “fiancée!” " the tweet stated.
