Ohio Sheriff's Deputy Succumbs to Injuries After Crash With Bus

Hamilton County Sheriff's Cpl. Adam McMillan succumbed to injures that he suffered in a crash earlier in the month.

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio -- A Hamilton County Sheriff's succumbed to injures on Friday that he suffered in a crash earlier in the month.

Cpl. Adam McMillan was involved in a crash with a Metro bus at Beechmont Avenue and Eight Mile Road in Anderson Township around 6:20 p.m. on Oct. 8, according to a news release.

McMillan was transported to UC Medical Center with serious injuries and was listed in critical condition. He died on Oct. 23 with family and friends by his side.

"We ask everyone to keep Adam's family as well as our deputies in your prayers as we all grieve the loss of a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice by serving the citizens of Hamilton County," Hamilton County Sheriff's officials said in a statement.

McMillan had served with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office for 19 years and was assigned to the Traffic Safety Section.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
