Thank you for your interest in submitting editorial for OFFICER magazine and OFFICER.com. We accept unsolicited submissions in accordance with the following guidelines.

Thank you for your interest in submitting editorial for OFFICER magazine and OFFICER.com. We accept unsolicited submissions in accordance with the following guidelines:

  1. Minimum submission length is 900 words for columns; 1,500 words for feature editorial.
  2. Submissions should be in WORD (*.doc) format. We do not accept submissions in PDF format.
  3. The WORD document should be attached to your submission email; not copied into the body of the email.
  4. We request at least one photograph, print quality (300dpi or better) also attached to your email to accompany the article.
  5. We require a brief biography of the author (250-500 words).
  6. We require a “head and shoulders” photo of the author.
  7. Every submission accepted for publication requires a completed Contributor's Agreement which delineates all contractual controls on the work and must be executed prior to acceptance deadline.

If you are submitting an article, or idea of series of articles, and wish to become a regular columnist for OFFICER Magazine, please include:

  1. The general topic you will be writing about, i.e. law enforcement technology, forensic collection/storage/management, firearms, etc.
  2. Synopsis of the first three articles you would write (or have written) for submission.

All submissions should be emailed to [email protected].

Be aware that all submissions are due TWO FULL MONTHS prior to the issue you are targeting publication in. For example, if you want to be published in the July issue, all materials would be due no later than close of business May 1.
