RICHMOND HEIGHTS, OH — Officers drove through the Parallel Lounge parking lot at Hilltop Plaza around 2 a.m. June 29 to assist patrons with exiting the business at closing time.
As they did, a group of approximately 10 women swarmed an officer’s cruiser as it drove slowly through the lot.
Three of the women got onto the hood of the cruiser and began dancing and twerking.
Another officer approached to assist, and all the women fled in different directions into much larger crowds of people.
The dancers damaged the hood of the cruiser.
Dash camera footage of the incident was reviewed and facial recognition technology led to the identification of two of the women.
The Cleveland Heights woman, 23, and East Cleveland woman, 21, are being charged with rioting and criminal damaging.
