A bystander's video captured Indiana police officers chasing down a suspect in a gun theft during a pursuit that went through a cemetery last week.
The incident happened just after 4 p.m. Friday when Bloomington police received a report about a suspect stealing a woman's gun, The Bloomingtonian reports. A chase began when police spotted the suspect's Mercedes c280.
Police pursued the driver through Rose Hill Cemetery, where officers eventually stopped the man. The suspect and a female passenger then were taken into custody.
The suspect, Mohamed Abou, was arrested and charged with multiple charges, including theft and criminal mischief in a cemetery. Abou had been free on bond from a 2022 incident in which he was charged with armed robbery and other counts, according to WTTV-TV.
