Fla. Highway Patrol Wins Cruiser Contest for 4th Year in a Row

A late surge of support helped the Florida Highway Patrol's black-and-tan Ford Mustang pull ahead of the Michigan State Police and capture the Best Looking Cruiser title for a fourth consecutive year.

"The Florida Highway Patrol is proud to have earned the American Association of State Troopers’ Best Looking Cruiser title for a historic fourth year in a row!" the agency stated in a social media post. "We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone - Floridians, law enforcement partners, public officials, and FHP fans - who showed their support for Florida State Troopers - whether you voted, shared, reposted, or cheered us on."

As the contest came down to the wire, some of the agencies began playfully poking fun at each other and their submissions. The Connecticut State Police received some ribbing over social media for using artificial intelligence to enhance the sky in its cruiser photo.

Founded in 1989, the American Association of State Troopers is a national fraternal organization for active and retired state troopers, highway patrol officers and state police officers.
