An Nebraska State Patrol trooper was injured after his patrol car was struck on a highway Wednesday morning.

OMAHA, Nebraska -- An Nebraska State Patrol trooper was injured after his patrol car was struck on a highway Wednesday morning.

The trooper was in his cruiser on Interstate 80 in Omaha when he was struck by another driver, according to a news release.

Both the trooper and the other driver were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"Please keep all involved in your thoughts today and please use caution in the area as crews remain on scene," officials said in a statement.
