Two Chicago Officers Injured in Cruiser Crash

Two Chicago police officers were injured overnight when their squad car was struck by another vehicle in a South Side intersection.
The collision took place about 11:53 p.m. at 108th and State streets in the Roseland neighborhood as the officers were answering a call to assist other officers, said Police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.
According to preliminary information, the officers were taken to Stroger Hospital with injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening.
Also taken to area hospitals were the three male occupants of the other car, Gaines said. Their injuries were not believed life-threatening either.
No further information was available.
