Police are searching for the driver who initially hit the officer.

Police said Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the felony arrest and indictment in connection with the crash. Call Crime Stoppers at (214) 373-TIPS, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
