California police apprehended four suspects who are accused of holding a family at gunpoint during a break-in over the weekend, and investigators are looking into whether they were responsible for an attempted home invasion in another city the previous day.

The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday when Modesto police began chasing suspects after they allegedly held a gun on a family in an attempted home invasion, SFGate reports. Dashboard and body camera footage of the response shows police pursuing the suspects before their vehicle crashed.

Benjamin Vazquez, 22, was taken into custody, along with three male teenagers, ranging in age from 14 to 17, the department stated in a social media post. Multiple firearms were recovered from the scene, according to police.

Police are investigating whether the four suspects were involved in a similar incident on Oct. 24.

"The group is also suspected of involvement in a Union City home invasion, where the same vehicle was seen in a social media video," police stated.

In that case, masked suspects allegedly approached a girl as she was outside her home. The girl rushed inside and told her parents to call police. The suspects fled when the residents confronted them.
