CLEVELAND, OH—Euclid police are searching for a suspect who shot at officers during a chase early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded about 4:30 a.m. to East 232nd and Gay streets for a report of gunshots fired after an argument. No one was injured. A responding officer saw a vehicle fleeing the area at a high rate of speed, Capt. Mitch Houser said.

The officer attempted to stop it, but the driver fled.

Police chased the suspect westbound on Lakeshore Boulevard and south onto East 185th Street before following the car onto Interstate 90 east. The chase reached speeds of 110 mph.

Dash-camera video from police show the suspect firing multiple shots on the highway.

The chase ended when the driver hit spike strips and lost control of the vehicle in Willoughby Hills. Police followed the suspect into the parking lot of a closed business in the 2700 block of Bishop Road, according to police video.

Police chased the suspect on foot, but he got away and has not been arrested.

No one was injured, police said

Multiple police agencies from Cuyahoga and Lake counties assisted.
