Professional wrestler Jeff Hardy was arrested Monday morning in Volusia County on suspicion that he was driving while intoxicated, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Hardy, who is currently with All Elite Wrestling and previously wrestled for WWE, faces charges of driving under the influence, violating interlock restrictions and violating driver’s license restrictions.

FHP received calls about an impaired driver who was swerving and failing to stay in their lane along Interstate 95, spokesperson Lt. Kim Montes said.

The driver, identified as Jeffrey Hardy, “appeared to be in a stupor and confused,” according to the police report. Hardy’s blood-alcohol level was more than three times the .08 legal limit.

“The driver appeared to be unsteady on his feet, displayed orbital sway, reeked of the odor of an alcoholic beverage, and was confused,” the report said. “Through conversations with the driver it was learned that he had been drinking earlier in the day.”

This is Hardy’s third DUI charge within the last 10 years, according to the report, which listed prior convictions from DUIs in March 2018 and October 2019. These previous charges required him to have an interlock device inside any vehicle he operated, but the one he was pulled over in on Monday did not, troopers said.

Hardy was taken to Volusia County jail with a bond of $3,500.
