Moving Infantry Target Systems from Theissen Training Systems are designed to create dynamic and realistic training environments by introducing controlled target movement across the shooting range. Unlike stationary targets, moving targets require shooters to track, anticipate, and engage targets in motion, significantly improving reaction time, accuracy, and situational awareness.

The system simulates real-world engagement scenarios where targets do not remain static, making it ideal for military and law enforcement training. By challenging shooters with variable movement patterns and speeds, it enhances decision-making, target acquisition, and overall shooting performance in demanding conditions.

The moving infantry target system is available in both Standard and Advanced configurations, offering different levels of movement complexity and control to match specific training requirements.

The MIT Standard configuration is based on a modular moving target system, where the infantry target is mounted on a mover carriage. This carriage can operate on rail-guided, cable-driven, or self-propelled systems, depending on the shooting range setup.

The target moves along a defined path with adjustable speed and direction, allowing trainers to simulate realistic lateral movement. In this configuration, the target is presented in pop-up and pop-up turning mode, enabling controlled exposure during movement for effective marksmanship and tracking training.

The MIT Advanced configuration expands training capabilities by combining dynamic target movement with enhanced target presentation modes. In addition to movement along the shooting range, the system integrates advanced target behavior such as pop-up, turning and shearing creating more complex and realistic engagement scenarios.

Designed for both permanent installations and mobile training setups, the advanced moving target system can operate at higher speeds and with greater variability.
