Michigan police and firefighters rescued a dog stranded on an ice float on the Detroit River on Monday.

The efforts by the Wyandotte Police Department and the city's fire department were captured on video. Lucy, a newly adopted dog, had gotten away from her owner and ended up floating on a chunk of ice in the river's frigid waters, WXYZ-TV reports.

The rescue was successful, and the dog didn't suffer any serious injuries.

"Glad to report Lucy is safe and sound!" the Friends of Wyandotte Firefighters IAFF Local 356 stated in a social media post. "Thanks to everyone else who assisted us!"
