FACES 4.0 is the most current version of IQB's facial composite technology. It allows police investigators to create suspect composites without any previous forensic art training or experience. The FACES database includes 4,400 facial features which can be clicked and selected to form billions of different facial images. The features are automatically blended together to provide near-photo quality facial images of either gender and any race, from juvenile to elderly. Positioning, zooming and sizing tools allow the image features to be fine-tuned: the composite can also be exported in JPEG format to use in police bulletins and websites. IQB offers a range of support for its FACES products, including an advanced facial composite course for investigators.
