LOS ANGELES, April 29, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mount Saint Mary's University has expanded its roster of online offerings with the addition of six new undergraduate degree and certificate programs in business administration, computer science, criminology, entrepreneurship and gerontology.
The online programs are open to women and men in 27 states and internationally, and are part of the University's broader mission to provide a superior education while helping build leadership skills and a commitment to community service.

Business administration in management and accounting – The two degree programs can each be completed in four years, and do not require any in-classroom sessions. While individual courses in management and accounting have been offered online as part of the University's Weekend/Evening College, these new programs are the first fully online bachelor's degrees in those concentrations to be offered at Mount Saint Mary's. Criminology – Taught from a holistic systems perspective, this online undergraduate degree program can be completed in four years, or less if transfer credits are applied. Major and minor degrees are offered. The program prepares students for careers in law enforcement, probation, crime prevention, forensic research, law studies, rehabilitation, homeland security and programs for at-risk populations or for advanced studies in sociology and criminology. Gerontology – The Mount offers two- and four-year options for earning major and minor degrees in gerontology, as well as a certificate in gerontology that can be earned in one year. The programs prepare students to work with elders in a variety of settings and lay the foundation for graduate studies in social work, gerontology, public policy, the law and research. Computer science associate's degree
The two-year program provides students with the options of transferring into a four-year program in computer science or to immediately enter the technology information field with marketable skills as a web or software developer, information technology support specialist, information systems technician, systems analyst or desktop support specialist. Entrepreneurship certificate program
The non-degree online Entrepreneurship certificate program focuses on the business skills of planning, managing, financing, and marketing to create a new venture or help lead an existing business to operate with a higher degree of innovation.
