When a retired K-9 officer ended up in an animal shelter, an old trainer came to the rescue. Randy Hare trains K-9s for the Jackson Police Department in Mississippi. He got a call from a shelter saying someone turned in a dog that he might have been trained as a police dog. When he was sent a photo of Ringo, he recognized him right away. Ringo retired in October after nine years of service.
