Welcome to the A.R.T. Project

Dec. 6, 2015
Welcome to a new, politically incorrect, unapologetically American content section focused on common sense, American pride, and teamwork between ALL American citizens against those who would do our nation or her citizens harm.

12/1/15

Across the span of the past couple weeks, starting with the terrorist attack in Paris and then piling on the on-going political debate about the importation or acceptance of Syrian refugees, I came to the realization or belief that we have reached a new era; we need to recognize it and we need to embrace it. It is an era of choice: We the American people need to speak out in a combined voice that proclaims, “Friends to all but America comes first!”  OUR safety; OUR economic health; OUR pride in the nation; OUR self-reliant outlook.

That realization hit me along with the high levels of anger and frustration I was experiencing because it’s my personal belief that importing several thousand (tens of thousands) “refugees” without being damned careful, and right on the heels of several terrorist attacks around the world, is pretty stupid.  My brain started spinning with all of the ways I could express my anger.  I could record a video blog.  I could write an editor’s blog. I could write an editorial piece.  I could write a BUNCH of articles about equipment needed, outlooks, training, communications, working with the public, etc.  In the end I realized that what I really wanted to set up was a new content section; one in which I can dump ALL anti-terrorism pro-America related content no matter the format – video, blog, podcast, editorial, news, etc.  When I started trying to figure out what to call such a section I identified the purpose and focus of the new section and decided that “America’s Response Team” would work.

America’s Response Team (ART) is NOT just law enforcement.  It’s NOT just firefighters.  It’s NOT just emergency medical workers, military, rescue, or any other single group of individuals, paid professionals or volunteers or whatever.  It is ALL of those.  Further, I thought about the events in Paris as well as our own events of nine-eleven (2001), and realized that the term “first responder” in those cases does NOT apply to just public safety workers.  In those cases the true first responders are the citizens who are on the scene when the attacks occur.  Any one of those citizens who is/are willing to fight back rather than being a willing victim is a first responder.  Any one of those citizens who starts providing emergency medical care to a victim is a first responder. Need a perfect example?

Who were the VERY FIRST responders to the attacks of nine-eleven?  Some will answer firefighters.  Some will answer police officers.  The actual most brutally truthful answer is, “The citizen passengers on Flight 93.”  THEY were the first people to fight back against the terrorists as a result of that attack.

I also realized that this wouldn’t be a one-time push for content.  Someone recently (finally) in the mainstream media said that the global war on terror, whether you like the term or not, is World War III.  It’s occurring all around the world on every content (except Antarctica) and amongst every demographic of people.  Thus was born The ART Project – an on-going content growth with all of focused on supporting and informing EVERYONE potentially involved in the war against terror from here forward.

Being an American, and a patriotic one at that, I am focused on our nation.  I am focused on the citizens, volunteers, professionals, military personnel, etc that will respond HERE AT HOME. I’m focused on how we can work together, break down barriers that keep us from protecting our homeland in an efficient fashion and keep America strong.

This will NOT be a politically correct section.  Part of our problem today, as a nation, is that we go to great lengths not to offend anyone.  Well, I’m sorry I’m not sorry but sometimes people need to be offended.  Sometimes the truth hurts. Sometimes bearing responsibility for your actions and words (as I will in this section) is just LIFE.  Sometimes facts are not friendly. Sometimes it’s simply not about politics, political parties, agendas, bias, etc. Sometimes it’s just about being a proud American willing to work hard, help others, defend yourself, your family and your homeland; proving to the world that we are STILL the greatest nation on earth.

In this section you will find editorial and opinion.  The editorial will be centered on awareness, information and events we should support or take pride in.  The opinion will be from various sources but will focus (largely) on being a proud American.  PROUD meaning unashamed; unapologetic; unwavering. The sources will be vetted as best we can manage.  Where the news is concerned, it will not be from big name sources who so often have a goal (advertising sales or political change).  It will mostly be from smaller sources where there is still a higher level of commitment to journalistic integrity.  The opinions will be coming from people who have a proven background of service, although it doesn’t have to be military or even in public safety.  As long as the writer is someone who has led a productive life, overcome challenges, stood their ground in being proud of our nation – I’ll be happy to accept their inputs.

You’ll find reviews here of equipment ranging from firearms to clothing, armor to boots, knives to flashlights.  You’ll find information about organizations, private or commercial, who support America, American pride and factual history instead of revisionist fiction. Some of what you read or see here may aggravate you.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing.  Sometimes what aggravates us, usually because we disagree with it or feel challenged by it somehow, makes us THINK. It’s my hope that this content section will inspire us all to do exactly that: THINK; DISCUSS; LEARN; EDUCATE; SUPPORT.  In the end, hopefully it will help support all Americans who take pride in being exactly that: American.
