An abandoned pit bull, Apollo, was scheduled to be euthanized because no one wanted to adopt him. That's when a narcotics K-9 trainer stepped in and rescued him, but his life still wasn't easy. Officers passed over Apollo for a year because they wanted more traditional police dogs. Now he's found a home with the Tukwila Police Department where he's quickly become a local favorite. Apollo graduated first in his class.
